These Rude Customers Are The Reason Why “The Customer Always Right” – is Wrong

Anyone who has worked in the food service industry has undoubtedly encountered one of these obnoxious customers. Many think those rude customers should not be let back into the place – or even order food again. The terrible issue is that those unpleasant clients aren’t uncommon. Rude customers put waiters, restaurant personnel, and baristas through hell. After dealing with customers from the devil himself, these servers are here to tell the rudest and most awful stories. When you finish reading them, you might not think “the customer is always right” anymore.

It seems that some customers take the opportunity to get rid of old and damaged bills when tipping servers. Unfortunately, those bills are worthless and cannot be exchanged at the bank.

This poor server was baited with a dollar tip, only to find out it was a worthless piece of paper when they came up close. We’ll never know if the customer did this as a joke or for real. We hope they meant well.

Try A Different Job

Apparently, sassy comments are a common thing to receive in the customer service industry. In America, tipping is optional in name only. Legally it’s voluntary, but if you slink out of a restaurant without leaving a gratuity of 10%, you’re likely to be chased by a waiter demanding to know why.

This picture was posted in a restaurant group chat. We find it horrific! This person knew they were positive for covid, and they still went to a public place against all protocol, putting other people at risk.

Hopefully, this is only a distasteful job because if it is true, they put innocent people at risk of catching the virus. We can only imagine the fear this poor server must have felt while cleaning this table.
